What we believe:
We Believe:
The Bible is our only rule of faith and practice. (2 Tim. 3:5-17)
We Believe:
Church membership is made up of those who are regenerated and immersed. (Acts 2:41)
We Believe:
The church is autonomous, i.e., self-governing and self-supporting. (Matt 18:16-22; I Cor. 16:2)
We Believe:
The separating of Church and State; and the separating ethically (each Christian from the world) and separating ecclesiastically i.e. one church from another church, for a church must be autonomous. (Acts 5:29; 2 Cor. 6:17)
We Believe:
The Person of the Son is the Second Person of the Trinity, Who exists eternally with NO BEGINNING AND NO END, and Who is equal in essence and power with the Father. He was the agent of creation. He manifested Himself visibly in the Old Testament in Christophanies, possessing a human and Divine nature in one person, being Perfect Man and Perfect God. He was born of Mary through miraculous conception of the Holy Spirit, thus preserving the sinlessness of Christ. He is Holy and sinless both on earth and in Heaven. He was incarnated to be man's Substitutionary Sacrifice for sin. He shed His blood, died, and rose again bodily from the grave three days later, never to die again. He is man's only hope of salvation. (Is. 7:14; 9:6; Lk. 1:35; Jn. 1:1-2, 14; Acts 1:9-10; 2:18-36; Rom. 3:24-25; 8:34; 2 Cor. 5:19-21; Gal. 4:4-5; Eph. 1:7; Phil. 2:5-8; Heb. 9:24; 7:25; 1 Pet. 1:3-5; 2:24; 1 Jn. 2:1-2)
We Believe:
Salvation is a free gift of God, given to man because of God's love for mankind. It was paid for by Jesus Christ, when He died and shed His blood on the cross, was buried and rose again bodily from the grave three days later. The Holy Spirit of God convicts men that they are sinners and in need of this gift of salvation. This salvation is free, and cannot be worked for in any fashion. For a person to be saved, he must put his faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross, believing that Jesus Christ died to take away his sin, repent of his sin and ask God to save him. (Matt. 12:31-32; Jn. 1:12; Eph. 1:7; 2:8-10; Tit. 3:5; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; 1 Jn. 1:9)
We Believe:
That all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power and thus secure in Christ forever. (Jn. 6:37-40; 10:27-30; Rom. 8:1; 38-39; 1 Cor. 1:4-8; 1 Pet. 1:4-5)
We Believe:
That man was created in God's image on the sixth solar day of creation. Man is tripartite, i.e., he consists of body, soul, and spirit. Man was created morally innocent. When he sinned, he chose to do so. When Adam sinned, the entire human race fell. Now all mankind are sinners, both by nature, by birth, and by choice. Man is now depraved, i.e., he cannot save himself. He is thus left in such a condition that he is bound for everlasting punishment in the lake of fire. (Gen. 1:26-27; Gen. 3:8ff; Rom. 3:22-23; 5:12; 6:23; Eph. 2:1-3; 4:17-19)
